Tony graduated from Miami University in 1990 and worked for the next 11 years for privately held companies performing all internal accounting and office management functions – AR, AP, Payroll, Financial Statements, HR, Insurance, Banking Relationships, Compensation Plans and co-ordination of external audits byCPA firms, banks & government agencies. He also spent a year working for the IRS and preparing tax returns for a small firm during this time. In 1996, he earned a Masters in Business Administration from Xavier University with a concentration in Taxation and became a CPA in 2001 when he started his public accounting career. Late in 2004, he formed what is now MWB (originally Controllership Group, Inc.) He is the managing partner of MWB and focuses his time consulting as a controller for clients in multiple industries along with tax compliance and planning.
Chris began his public accounting career in 1990 while completing his undergraduate degree at Northern Kentucky University. After graduating in 1991, he went on to earn a Masters in Business Administration from Xavier University with a concentration in Taxation. He specializes in consulting with business owners regarding all aspects of company operations, financial reporting and tax compliance. Over his 20 years of experience, he has gained a broad range of experience in multiple industries but focuses his time with clients in the construction industry. He works with them on audit, tax, banking and bonding issues and is a member of CFMA(Construction Financial Management Association) and ACI (Allied Construction Industries). He manages both the Audit and Tax departments of MWB.
Roy graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1986 and has been in public accounting for over 20 years along with a few years as CFO of a privately held company. He has a broad range of experience, having worked at both large regional and smaller local CPA firms. Roy spends the majority of his time as a business consultant to construction contractors, specializing in financial reporting that helps them maximize bonding and bank financing along with tax planning and compliance. He currently is serving as Program Director for the Cincinnati chapter of CFMA
As a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Roy is nationally certified to professionally perform business valuations for many purposes, including (a) estate tax planning to transfer wealth to your heirs instead of the IRS, your state and probate attorneys, (b) represent your interests in selling your stock or business assets to a potential buyer, (c) due diligence regarding the value of a business you may wish to purchase, (d) divorce settlements, and (e) litigation support including stockholder disputes, and many other reasons.
Kathy graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and became a CPA in 2008. She most recently worked for a small CPA firm in Christiansburg, Virginia for 9 years, and then moved back to the Cincinnati area. She is licensed as a CPA in Kentucky, Virginia and Ohio and has more than 15 years working with clients on income tax planning/preparation, payroll taxes, Quickbooks set up and other small business accounting and tax needs.
Tonya graduated from Miami University in 1990 and worked 15 years for Firth Third Bank as a systems analyst before joining MWB. She is in charge of handling multiple client’s bookkeeping services including personal and business daily banking, processing of payables, Quickbooks setup, assisting with payroll processing and many other professional services.
